Welding
The two-year Welding Technology Program provides students with the hands-on skills, safety knowledge, and technical expertise required to enter one of the most in-demand trades in the nation. Students train in a professional welding lab equipped with 18 individual welding booths, industry-standard machines, and advanced fabrication tools including a precision laser cutter. The program emphasizes both foundational welding processes and the creativity and problem-solving needed for real-world fabrication work.
In addition to welding processes, students gain experience in steel fabrication, learning how to measure, cut, form, and assemble metal components to create both functional and artistic projects.
The program offers extensive hands-on project opportunities, ranging from welded artwork to complex builds such as a custom motorcycle, large-scale structural shelving capable of supporting thousands of pounds of steel girders, and student-designed fabrication pieces. With numerous project pathways, students can tailor their work to career interests in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, motorsports, metal art, and more.
Students graduate with a strong portfolio, American Welding Society (AWS) certifications, OSHA-10, real-world experience, and the advanced skills needed to pursue apprenticeships, trade school, or immediate entry-level employment in the welding and fabrication industries.
