Cybersecurity

Nearly every part of our modern world depends on secure digital systems. Our phones, cars, hospitals, banks, and even professional sports teams rely on networks that must be protected. Cybersecurity blends technology with criminal justice, with professionals who keep this information safe and stop cyberattacks before they happen. By taking part in the Cybersecurity program at the Career & Technology Center at Fort Osage (CTC), you’ll gain the knowledge and experience to help safeguard the technology that powers our lives. From learning how hackers think to understanding how artificial intelligence is changing digital defense, this program places you at the front line of one of the fastest-growing and most essential fields in the world.

In Cybersecurity, students spend two years exploring the world of ethical hacking, coding, and digital defense. You’ll learn how to identify and prevent cyber threats, test out of certifications like IT Essentials, Security+, and Network+, and practice defending networks using an in-house AI platform designed specifically for safe, real-world simulations. Students stay up to date with major hacking incidents and analyze how they would respond to those attacks. Whether you want to protect sensitive data for schools, the military, law enforcement, or even professional sports organizations like the NFL, this program builds the foundation for a future in cybersecurity, IT, or computer science, fields that are shaping the security of tomorrow’s connected world.
