Meet Your CTC Counselor

Hello!

Welcome to Fort Osage Career and Technology Center (CTC).  My name is Kim Schott and I am the school counselor for CTC. I'm so excited to work with our new and returning students as they prepare for their final years in high school. I enjoy helping students with college/career exploration, career preparation, and researching internships and apprenticeships.  My door is also always open to talk about life and the challenges of high school.  Just know, my door is always open.  

A little about me...I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and a former Career and Technical Education (CTE) counselor for Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center. My school counseling career has been in the KC Metro area for the last 4 years and 11 years in Southeast Missouri.  I have a special place in my heart for CTE; not only do I love being a CTE counselor, but I am a CTE graduate and both of my children are CTE graduates! I've seen firsthand how the hands-on and exploratory nature of CTE can provide so much for students, from discovering a new passion to setting them up for success after graduation.
