Industry Partners

GET INVOLVED IN CLASS!

Mock Interviews. Help our young professionals develop their interview and communication skills by conducting mock interviews and giving constructive feedback.

Testing/Evaluation. All of our programs offer students the chance to earn an Industry-Recognized Credential (IRC), such as 911 Telecommunicator, EMT-Basic, Motor Vehicle Inspector's License, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Evaluate our students, provide critical feedback on how to improve their skills, or serve as an evaluator for an exam or certification test!

Guest Speaking/Guest Teaching. Hearing from industry professionals is not only a great way to connect students with industry partners, but also highlight the realities of the profession our students have chosen to pursue. Many students share hearing from industry partners or working alongside them on a project, such as wiring a vehicle circuit board or conducting a crime scene investigation, makes them feel more confident in their skills.

Bonus: Students report they're more likely to engage with an industry partner at future events like career fairs and apply for a job with their company after getting to work with them in class!

OUT-OF-CLASS OPPORTUNITIES

Internships. Create a talent pipeline by hosting a CTC intern during the fourth quarter of spring semester. Our senior interns meet strict academic, attendance, and character requirements, meaning you'll have a professional with training and knowledge in their industry contributing to your company.

Shadowing. Another great opportunity to share your company with our students and engage with seniors before they graduate. Job shadowing can take place for as little as one day or several times over the fourth quarter of the spring semester.

Site Tours/Field Trips. We love to travel! From manufacturing floors to explosive testing sites, hosting our students for a site tour or field trip is a great way to connect with students and start building relationships before they graduate.

Teacher Externships. Host an instructor on a professional development day so they can gain direct experience with your business as well as current industry trends, technology, and the skills you'd like to see in your future employees.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

Program Advisory Member. Our advisory panels meet once a semester with our teachers to help guide the development of curriculum, share changes in industry, and provide critical information our instructors use to make sure we're training our students to the standards expected in their profession.

Equipment/Supply Donations. From hard hats and work boots to bunker gear and drills, we appreciate any equipment and supply donations that can help us offer more training opportunities to our students. Most donations to CTC qualify as a tax-deductible expense.

Scholarship/Student Support Donations. The CTC offers several scholarships to graduates, including scholarships that can be used for vocational training, community college, or university, as well as a tools scholarship to provide equipment for students going into the field. CTC also provides support when possible for students traveling to national competitions. Donations to help support these students are greatly appreciated and can be made here.
